OBJECTIVES

To cultivate both mind and body in accordance with the "AIKI" principle and to expand and develop Aikido, thereby contributing to the physical training of the practicing public, as can be imagined Aikido is a disciplined activity which involves physical exercise. Therefore in the interest of safety, strict discipline must be observed at all times whilst practicing on the mat in the dojo.

It is permissible to use Aikido techniques off the mat only in the following situations.

The first case is purely self defence, making use only of the techniques which are imperative.

The second involves a duty which is cowardly to shrink.

The third case involves a situation which no one can put down the troublemakers and we must use our techniques for the sake of the majority.

It must be stressed it is not all right to use Aikido at anytime, only when we have though out all other peaceful methods of solving the situation and nothing else seems to work.
